Introduction
HoshizakiIceMaker.com, operated by B & G Refrigeration of Jacksonville, FL, provides an annual scholarship to support students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The program awards funds for the academic year (fall and spring semesters) to encourage young people to enter careers that strengthen the economy and support industry needs. As a member of the STEM Coalition, we support efforts to improve how students learn science, math, technology, and engineering and believe stronger partnerships among business, education, and the STEM community are essential.

Award Details
- One award of $1,000 will be granted each year.
- The grant is divided equally between the fall and spring semesters and will be sent directly to the financial aid office of the recipient’s accredited institution for disbursement.
- The recipient may use the funds for any school-related expenses.

Eligibility
To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be an undergraduate college student or a high school senior.
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Maintain full-time enrollment (minimum 12 credit hours per term) while using award funds.
- Be a declared major in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for STEM, evidence of good moral character, and leadership potential.
- Reside in the United States, attend a U.S. university, and be legally recognized as a U.S. citizen.

Required Application Materials
For current college students:
- Proof of enrollment at a four-year accredited university. Examples include: current or upcoming class schedule, official enrollment verification, proof of enrollment document, acceptance letter, or college transcripts.

For high school seniors:
- Current high school transcript.
- Acceptance letter to a four-year accredited university.

If you are a high school senior who has not yet received an acceptance letter, submit your current high school transcript and enter your SAT or ACT scores on the application form. Official score reports are not required at the time of application. Finalists will be contacted to confirm and update any academic documentation.

Verification
If you advance to finalist status, we will verify SAT/ACT scores and request any additional academic verification needed before awarding the scholarship.
