Marge Karker Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Michigan Farm Bureau
Established in the late 1960s to honor Marge Karker, a former coordinator of the Michigan Farm Bureau Women's Programs and 37-year employee of Michigan Farm Bureau, this scholarship awards three $1,000 gifts to students attending Michigan State University and enrolled in an agriculture program.
Marge Karker led Farm Bureau members in activities involving citizenship, health, education, legislation, public relations, safety and community betterment projects over a time period between 1944 - 1964. Through her work with these programs, Karker helped to lay the foundation for the Promotion and Education and Young Farmer programming we have today.
Michigan Farm Bureau’s Marge Karker Scholarship offers three $1,000 awards to students attending Michigan State University and enrolled in an agricultural program.
Students may be enrolled in any Institute of Agricultural Technology, bachelor’s degree, or graduate-level program.
Applicants must have a Farm Bureau membership in good standing or be a dependent of a Farm Bureau member.
