The Flinn Scholarship offers all of that—and provides recipients with a full scholarship at one of Arizona’s public universities.
About the award
- The Flinn Scholarship is an undergraduate merit award with exceptional scope and value. Worth more than $135,000, it pays tuition, fees, room, and board at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona, and it also supports study abroad.

What the application includes
The Flinn Scholarship application package must contain:
- Basic forms gathering personal information, academic status, extracurricular involvement, and employment.
- Two essay responses and one short-answer item.
- One academic/teacher recommendation submitted directly by a high-school teacher who has given you a grade in a course.
- One leadership or service recommendation submitted directly by a teacher, professor, coach, employer, or other community member.
- An official transcript and school profile, uploaded by your high school academic counselor via the counselor report.
- ACT or SAT scores (minimum required: 26 on the ACT or 1230 on the SAT). Note: October is the final month of testing that will qualify for the 2026 Flinn Scholarship.
