Jeff Reedy Memorial Scholarship Fund — overview
The Jeff Reedy Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to honor the memory of Jeffrey B. Reedy by supporting a graduating senior from the Central Michigan region who intends to pursue a career in business.
About Jeffrey B. Reedy
Jeffrey B. Reedy, a devoted husband, father and friend, passed away on January 19, 2003 as the result of a snowmobile accident. Jeff graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and attended Central Michigan University, but was unable to complete his degree because his family’s financial needs required him to enter the workforce. For two decades he served as owner-operator of Crawford Contracting, Inc., based in Alma. Known for his sharp business sense and warm loyalty to family and friends, Jeff lived a full life in his nearly 50 years and enjoyed drag racing, snowmobiling, golfing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Funding
Donations and proceeds from the annual Jeff Reedy Memorial Golf Outing, which began in 2004, provide the financial support for this scholarship. The Reedy family established the fund to help students begin successful and fulfilling careers in business and to keep Jeff’s legacy alive.
