About AAHD and the Scholarship
The American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) works at the national, state, and community levels to advance health and wellness for people with disabilities and to identify effective interventions that narrow health disparities between people with disabilities and the broader population. AAHD pursues this mission through research, education, and advocacy. As part of these efforts, AAHD annually awards the Frederick J. Krause Scholarship on Health and Disability to students with disabilities who are studying public health, disability studies, health promotion, or other fields that influence disability and health outcomes.
