Overview
The Gerber Foundation awards competitive, merit-based scholarships to graduating high school students from selected schools in West Michigan’s Newaygo, Muskegon, and Oceana counties.
Eligibility
- Qualified applicants are high school seniors who satisfy the GPA threshold and are graduating from one of the following Newaygo County schools: Fremont, Grant, Hesperia, Newaygo, or White Cloud. Home-schooled students who reside in Newaygo County are also eligible.
- Minimum GPA required: 3.0.
- Applicants must intend to enroll in an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution. Eligible programs include those that lead to a bachelor’s or associate degree, as well as vocational or technical training programs that result in a certificate.
- Ineligible: students planning to attend federal military or maritime academies, and foreign exchange students, may not apply.
