GEM Fellowship Program
Scholarship Sponsored by National GEM Consortium
INTRODUCTION
The program’s purpose is to increase industry awareness of the value of a master’s degree by funding practical engineering summer work experiences with employer sponsors and by providing an academic-year fellowship that covers tuition, required fees, and a living stipend. Fellows may use the academic-year fellowship at any participating GEM Member University where they are admitted. The financial terms described here apply to GEM Fellowships that begin in the Fall semester or later (they do not apply retroactively to Fellowships that started before that Fall). Note: University and Associate Fellows are nominated by their university — applicants do not self-select into those categories.
EMPLOYER FELLOWS (requires availability for employer selection and university sponsorship)

- Stipend: At least $16,000 total over the duration of the master’s program.
- Internships: Eligible for up to two paid summer placements with a GEM Employer Member.
- Tuition & fees: Full coverage provided by the GEM Member University where the Fellow is enrolled.
