The Allen Tittle Medical Malpractice Awareness Scholarship is designed to offer financial assistance to those impacted by medical malpractice, while also increasing awareness about this critical issue. This scholarship, which awards $1,000, is a recurring initiative aimed at supporting one college student, either incoming or continuing, with their tuition expenses. We encourage all qualifying students to apply and eagerly anticipate reviewing all applications. Best of luck!

Who Can Apply?

  • The scholarship is available to any high school senior, college student, or graduate student who is a legal U.S. resident living in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia. The applicant must be enrolled in a two to five-year post-secondary institution for the Fall 2025 semester.
  • Individuals who are employees of Tittle & Perlmuter, their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, and spouses), and those living in the same household as these individuals (regardless of their relationship), are not eligible to enter the competition.
  • Applicants for this scholarship should maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good academic standing overall.

What Are The Application Requirements?

  • Applicants must submit an essay of 500 to 600 words in response to the following prompt: Why do you believe patient advocacy is crucial in today's healthcare industry? If relevant, share an instance where you or someone you know received substandard medical care and what you learned from that experience.
  • Applicants must provide a professional resume detailing their academic and professional experiences.
  • Applicants must submit a transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school, along with the most recent official transcript from their previous school. High school students must also provide proof of acceptance to their college or university.

The Allen Tittle Medical Malpractice Scholarship recipient will be selected in the month following the scholarship deadline.
