Safe Cycling Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Felix Gonzalez Law Firm, P.C.
At Felix Gonzalez Accident and Injury Law Firm, our personal injury lawyers are committed to safeguarding the rights of individuals who have suffered harm due to others' negligence. We are particularly concerned about the safety of cyclists on our roads. To this end, we are offering a scholarship this year to encourage safer cycling practices.
On the road, cyclists encounter numerous hazards and distractions. It's crucial for everyone to exercise caution while using the roads, not just for their own safety, but also for the safety of others. For instance, San Antonio is contemplating additional safety measures, such as expanding bike lanes, to create a safer environment for cyclists.
For this scholarship, we would like you to discuss how government initiatives like bike lanes can help reduce accidents in your community. Please delve into existing and new laws, education about the risks of cycling in unsafe areas, and whether you believe more can be done to enhance cyclist safety.
After all entries have been submitted, they will be evaluated, and one student will be chosen to receive a $1,000 award. The award will go to the individual who best articulates the impact of safe cycling in their community and/or the changes being made to improve safety.
