St. Mary's of Michigan Dr. Raana Akbar Scholarship

In memory and honor of Dr. Raana Akbar, Dr. Waheed Akbar and the Akbar family has graciously donated funds to the St. Mary's of Michigan Foundation for the purpose of establishing an annual scholarship in the amount of $1,500.
Application Guidelines
The scholarship funds will be provided for the benefit of women enrolled in or accepted for enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate academic program in a health care-related field.
Applicants must:
A) Provide proof of a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
B) Submit a written statement of not more than 500 words stating reasons for pursing the Dr. Raana Akbar Scholarship for Women in Health Care.
C) Attach current letters of recommendation from any two (2) of the following: high school or college/university teacher(s), counselors, administrators, and/or community leaders.
