The Michigan Retailers Foundation awards scholarships to students who are part of Michigan’s retail community—whether you work at a member company or are a dependent of someone who does, we want to help you move your education forward.
For the 2026-2027 school year, fifteen $3,500 scholarships will be awarded.
Who's Eligible
- Employees of MRA member businesses who work at least 15 hours/week and have been employed for 6+ months.
- Spouses, children, or legal dependents of eligible employees.
- High school seniors or current college students.
- Must attend an accredited 2- or 4-year institution or trade school.
- Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Additional eligibility requirements:
- Must be a current high school senior or college freshman, sophomore, or junior for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Must attend an accredited 2- or 4-year institution or trade school for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Selection & Awards
- Fifteen awards worth $3,500 each will be awarded in 2026, totaling $52,500.
- Michigan Retailers Foundation has awarded $793,750 in scholarships to 652 recipients since 1999.
