Gering CSPM Scholarship

Overview
Three separate scholarships—labeled A, B, and C—are awarded each year. Submit applications to the Gering High School Counseling Office by April 1. Winners and alternates will be chosen.
Application checklist and submission
- Submit an application and upload the following: official ACT or SAT score report, high school transcript, and three letters of reference.
- Final senior-year grades are not required for the application.
Selection and award administration
- Recipients and designated alternates will be named after review. Scholarships are paid directly to the recipient’s college or technical school.
- Awarded scholarships may be revoked and given to an alternate if renewal conditions are not met.
Renewal and ongoing requirements
- Recipients must arrange for college transcripts to be sent to OTCF within three (3) weeks after the close of each grading period.
- Recipients must notify OTCF immediately of any changes to their mailing address.
- Failure to provide required transcripts or to notify OTCF of address changes can jeopardize future renewals.
- Scholarships will be forfeited if the recipient does not maintain the required college GPA or is not enrolled full-time beginning in the first semester for which the scholarship is awarded.
Scholarship details
CSPM Scholarship A — For students attending an accredited four-year college or university
- Purpose: Four-year undergraduate scholarship; open to any field of study
- Amount: $1,500 per year ($750 paid each semester), renewable for up to four years
- Eligibility: High school GPA of 3.0; required college GPA for renewal: 2.8
- Test scores: Minimum ACT 24 or SAT 1100
- Other: Three letters of reference; record of community or school activities and/or work experience
CSPM Scholarship B — For students attending an accredited two- or four-year college or university
- Purpose: Two- or four-year undergraduate scholarship; open to any field of study
- Amount: $1,500 per year ($750 paid each semester), renewable for up to four years
- Eligibility: High school GPA of 2.5; required college GPA for renewal: 2.5
- Test scores: Minimum ACT 20 or SAT 990
- Other: Three letters of reference; record of community or school activities and/or work experience
CSPM Scholarship C — For students attending an accredited one- or two-year technical college
- Purpose: One- or two-year scholarship for technical or vocational programs
- Amount: $1,000 per year ($500 paid each semester), renewable for up to two years
- Eligibility: High school GPA of 2.5; required college GPA for renewal: 2.5
- Other: Three letters of reference; record of community or school activities and/or work experience
