Frank Genovese Memorial Scholarship

Overview This year five students will be selected to receive the Frank Genovese Memorial Scholarship. Each award is $1,000 and must be applied toward continued education in an agriculture-related area. Eligibility - Applicants must be either a graduating high school senior or a post-secondary student who is enrolling in or already enrolled in a program related to agriculture, natural resources, or veterinary studies. - A Farm Bureau membership connection is required: recipients must have a parent or guardian who is a member of the Oakland County Farm Bureau. Applicants older than 21 are required to hold their own Oakland County Farm Bureau membership. - Residency in Oakland County is not a requirement, provided the Farm Bureau membership condition above is met. Selection and Award Process - Scholarship recipients for this year will be publicly announced at the Oakland County Fair. Selected students will be asked to attend the fair to accept their award. - Scholarship funds will be distributed after the winner supplies verification of enrollment in an accredited college, university, or trade school program that is agriculture-related.
