Michigan Council of Women in Technology Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Michigan Council of Women in Technology
MCWT offers scholarships to women who show interest, ability, and promise for successful careers in computer science and related technology fields. A coalition of corporate partners and individual supporters dedicated to a more diverse Michigan tech sector makes these awards possible.
Program overview
- The scholarship program targets talented female students—both high school seniors and those already enrolled in college or university—encouraging them to pursue further education and help Michigan become the top state for girls and women in technology.
- Awards are designed to support women pursuing technology careers through financial aid, mentoring, and career-building resources.
Award details
- Annual scholarship amounts range from $2,000 to $5,000 and may be renewable. Eligible applicants include high school seniors and students at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Prior involvement with MCWT is taken into account but is not required to receive an award. Recipients may apply to renew their scholarship in later years.
- In addition to monetary support, each scholar is paired with a leadership mentor for the duration of the award and receives help identifying internship opportunities.
Impact to date
