The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is committed to fostering the growth of future chemical engineers by providing financial assistance to high school seniors who aspire to pursue a career in this field. This scholarship is designed to recognize and reward students for their academic achievements and active participation in school and community activities. The scholarship is not solely based on financial need, but rather on the student's demonstrated academic prowess and their potential to successfully earn a degree in chemical engineering.

Qualifications
This scholarship, valued at $2000, is distributed over a four-year period to a high school senior graduating from the Mid-Michigan tri-city area or a neighboring county. The student must be planning to enroll in a chemical engineering program accredited by ABET. If the student is not planning to attend a traditional four-year institution with an ABET-accredited chemical engineering program, they must provide an explanation in their application detailing how their chosen program will lead to a chemical engineering degree from an accredited institution.
